About Me

Lesley Lord has been painting animals and birds for many years and has sold works all over the British Isles, Europe, North America and New Zealand. Mainly in watercolour with some gouache, and working on tinted paper, she has produced a large number of commissioned paintings of pet portraits, mostly horses, dogs and cats, and occasionally the more exotic pot-bellied pig, cockatiel, and a tame barn owl. She has also accepted requests for a yacht, rural landscapes, and most unusually, an American Flying Fortress Bomber. Limited edition prints are sometimes available, as are some original works and commissions accepted. Examples of completed works can be viewed on line or by appointment at the artist's Essex Studio. Lesley lives on the North Essex Coast with husband Steve, two Siamese cats, Border Collie and a Dressage Horse, the latter of which competes at Affiliated Dressage Shows.
